Pat began his career as a research scientist at Monsanto in St. Louis. Over the years, he combined his knowledge of chemistry and computer science to move out of the laboratory and into the field of laboratory data management and automation. Pat recently retired as a Managing Director with Accenture, and continues to consult as an industry expert and strategic advisor.
Pat met his wife, Carol, at Northwest. They have two grown sons, Brian and Derrick, and live on an acreage in the southeast Kansas City metro area, near Greenwood, Mo. Their four grandchildren are the absolute joy and focal point of their lives. Pat stays busy being a bit of a gentleman farmer on his acreage, volunteering at church, doing home building and renovation projects, playing golf and generally enjoying the outdoors.
"The people and culture of Northwest had a life-changing impact on me, and afforded me opportunities in life that I'd never even dreamed of. Northwest prepared me for success and equipped me to be competitive on a global scale. I'm 'Forever Green' because I feel passionate about providing these kinds of opportunities to young people in need, and about Northwest's ability to build our country's leaders of the future."
